What? Get information about Gateway Academy. See student projects. Talk with learning adviser and families of current students. Take home a flyer or fill out registration materials.


When? Tuesday, January 17 at 6 p.m.


Where? The information and registration night will take place in Gateway Academy classrooms, located within the Riverview Elementary building (4100 208th Street West, Farmington MN 55024).


Who?  All are welcome at this informative event. A diverse array of learners thrive at Gateway Academy by exploring their natural curiosity with drive and passion while collaborating with others to set and achieve real-life goals. Anyone interested in finding out more is encouraged to attend this event or contact the school for addition information.


As Gateway Academy has grown and evolved, it has developed a unique culture of learning to serve the needs of students throughout our district. In January 2017 registration will open for student entering grades 5-8 who are interested in pursuing a non-traditional learning experience. What does this type of learning look like?  


Students design and carry out learning plans unique to their interests.


Students synthesize skills and knowledge from multiple disciplines with real-world application.

Passion and Spark

Students tap into their talents, passions, and creativity.


Students receive a range of support and mentorship from peers, community members, teachers and parents.

Continuous Progress

Student growth is measured through multiple factors including portfolios, reflection, narrative feedback, and more.


Students collaborate not only with other students but with a wide local and global network of businesses, government, and community organizations.

Gateway Academy is a Public Choice School and any student living within ISD 192 may attend as an in-district transfer student. Students living outside ISD 192 may apply through the Open Enrollment Process.
